Mrs. Teri Key joined the Red Lion Area Junior High staff on October of 2015, and while her current position is a Language Arts Reading teacher for team 7B, Mrs. Key has been teaching English for grades 7-12 over the past twelve years. She received her education degree in 2000 but initially took five years raising her four children at home before actively entering the career.
Mrs. Key has been married for over 18 years to her fabulous husband, Clayton, who is a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy and within the last four years, moved from active duty to active reserves. While part of an active military family, their stations included Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Norfolk, Virginia; and Grafenwoehr, Germany. She has four children ranging from 18-13 years of age and all have either attended or are currently attending Dallastown Area School District. In addition, her family has also raised and traveled with their nine year old chocolate cocker spaniel.
Born and raised in Colorado, Mrs. Key must proclaim that she is a die hard Denver Broncos fan. From a family of four siblings, two brothers and a sister (including herself), she was raised in Grand Junction, a town of just over 100,000 on the Western Slope of Colorado. In fact, out of her entire family, including her husband’s side from Rangely,CO to those still in Grand Junction, her and her husband, along with their children, are the only immediate family members to have resided outside the borders of Colorado.
