After his time with animals and educating the public about animal care, it finally brought him to finish his degree and acquire a teaching certificate. Mr. McLaughlin graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor’s degree in biology, with a minor in secondary education.

Mr. McLaughlin brings to his classroom real world experience, charisma, and a passion for education. In his previous teaching experience, at different times, he taught grades 7-12, and has taught two levels of biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, and earth science.

This passion has also encouraged him with his professional career to learn new and more innovative ways to reach those that he educates. As his years in education continue, he is becoming more adept at being a facilitator and guide of information with his students. Mr. McLaughlin’s desire and attempts to bring technology into the classroom will continue as resources become more available, as he believes technology is an essential tool for his students and their continuing education.
