Teacher Biography

Mrs. Ruth's has been teaching 8th grade art at the Red Lion Area Junior High School since the 2011-2012 school year. 8th grade art is a course designed to help students develop problem solving and creative process skills through working with several types of art forms such as drawing, ceramics, crafts, and computer art.

In addition to teaching 8th grade art, Mrs. Ruth leads the JH Mural Team which is a team of students who design, draw, and paint works of art to be displayed in the school hallways. The mural from last year can be seen above the main lobby on the right. Mrs. Ruth also co-coordinates the JH Pep Club with Miss Smith. The Pep Club maintains the Junior High's rotating showcases and creates posters recognizing the multitude of student activities within our school. 

Mrs. Ruth graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science in art education, and recently earned a Master's in Middle Level Education through Wilkes University.
