Meet Mrs. Huntzinger
Mrs. Huntzinger is a 7th grade physical education teacher. She has been employed by the district since 2022 and is in her third year in this position.
After graduating from Red Lion Area Senior High School in 2016, she went on to Millersville University to pursue a degree in Sports Business and to play collegiate basketball, where she ranks second all-time in 3-pointers made. After earning her Bachelor degree, Mrs. Huntzinger had a change of heart regarding her career path. Although she still had a passion for sports, she also realized her passion for helping others and decided to return to school. Mrs. Huntzinger went on to obtain her teaching certificate in K-12 Health and Physical Education from Wilson College. She is actively pursuing her Masters of Education at Wilson College.
Mrs. Huntzinger is passionate about her role as a PE teacher at Red Lion. She strives to promote physical activity in a positive and fun way, in the hopes to increase the likelihood of her students continuing to lead a healthy, physically active lifestyle, have students work together cooperatively in order to improve their teamwork skills, and develop students' wellness and fitness skills.
