Meet Mrs. Hamlett
Brittany Hamlett is in her 11th year of teaching and this is her sixth year teaching 7th grade Pre-Algebra and 7th Grade Advanced. Previously, she was working at Mazie Gable Elementary as a fourth grade math and science teacher. Her experiences from the elementary level has carried over well into her current position. Brittany Hamlett attended high school here in the Red Lion Area School District and graduated in 2009. While attending Red Lion she competed on the basketball and track and field teams. After high school, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education with math and science concentrations from Shippensburg University. During her time at Shippensburg, she competed as a javelin thrower on the track team and also was the President of their Student Athletic Advisory Committee. In addition to her undergraduate degree, she has also earned a Master's Degree in Education with Assessment, Curriculum, and Teaching Education with a STEM endorsement and a Certificate in Trauma and Resiliency.
When not at work, Brittany Hamlett enjoys spending time with her husband, her two children, and dog Stark. She loves going to the beach, reading a good book, baking, cooking, and doing CrossFit. Brittany is very excited for a new school year and for a new opportunity to grow as a educator!
