Alison K. Miller - 8th Grade General Science Teacher

Hello,

My name is Alison Miller, and I am an 8th-grade science teacher at the Red Lion Area Junior High! Growing up in the school district myself, I graduated from Red Lion in 2016. In May 2020, I graduated from Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Education (grades 4-8) with a dual concentration in science and social studies. I was then welcomed back to Red Lion to begin my teaching career as a 7th grade science teacher, where I taught for 3 years until I transitioned to teaching 8th grade science. Recently earning my master's degree from Lebanon Valley College with certifications in STEM Education and Social and Emotional Learning, I truly enjoy supporting student growth in both content and personal skills. My hope for my students is that they develop skills that build their confidence, perseverance, curiosity, and empowerment, bringing success in their future!
