About Mr. Scheetz
Mr. Kevin Scheetz is entering his 5th year of teaching at Red Lion, and his 6th year as a teacher. He serves as the Junior High School orchestra director, instructing the string orchestra and chamber orchestra, and teaches a section of general music. In addition to his responsibilities at the Junior High, he serves as the Senior High School orchestra director. He is also an assistant director and the visual coordinator for the Red Lion Area Marching Lions. Prior to starting at Red Lion, Mr. Scheetz worked as a middle school band and choir director in Wilmington, Delaware. He had also served as an instructor for the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps based out of Reading, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Scheetz received his Bachelor of Music Degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2021, majoring in music education with a focus in wind music. He is currently working on his Master's Degree in Orchestral Conducting from Messiah University and is set to graduate in 2027. In addition to Messiah University, Mr. Scheetz has completed a variety of graduate-level courses from Vandercook College of Music and West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Red Lion graduate - class of 2017.
Mr. Scheetz enjoys spending his free time with his wife exploring new places and restaurants. He enjoys performing and practicing his instruments, spending time with family and friends, playing golf, watching baseball and football, and cheering on his favorite F1 team, McLaren. He loves spoiling his two cats, Marvin and Aurora.
