Meet Mrs. Campbell
Mrs. Campbell has served as the band director and general music teacher at Red Lion Area Junior High since 2011. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on saxophone and piano. She earned a Master’s Degree in Wind Conducting from Messiah University and completed certifications in Jazz Improvisation and Keyboard Styles from Berklee College of Music.
In her free time, Mrs. Campbell enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons, listening to music, reading, and playing billiards. She is also an instructor for the high school marching band and has played piano for the high school musicals.
Mrs. Campbell believes that music allows people to express emotions, build character, develop a strong work ethic, and bring people together. She is dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, and learning from them.
In 7th grade music class, students learn about the benefits of music education, how to read and perform music, how to play the piano and guitar, how music relates to culture from various countries around the world, and how music is used in media. Music is a 45-day class that rotates with Family and Consumer Science, Humanities, and Tech Ed.
Mrs. Campbell also teaches 7th and 8th grade Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band.
