Mrs. Mason's Biography
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself and my experience in education. I grew up in York County and am a graduate of Susquehannock High School. I received my undergraduate degree in English from Hood College.
I have been teaching English/ELA at Red Lion since 1994. During this time, I have taught both seventh and eighth grade English/ELA and have served as the JH English Department Representative since 2003. As a proud supporter of the Red Lion Area School District, I attend as many sporting, musical, building, and community events as possible. I believe we have the most amazing students in York County.
In my leisure time, my family and I are avid travelers. We have visited more than half of the fifty states in the U.S. and enjoy hiking in national parks. We also enjoy traveling outside of the U.S. and have cruised to more than ten islands in the Caribbean. This past summer, we spent two weeks traveling and hiking in Iceland. I also enjoy reading historical fiction, visiting my husband's family in the Thousand Islands, NY, and spending time outdoors with my dog.
I am excited to work with the students and parents/guardians on Team 8L!
