About Mrs. Wildman

Mrs. Wildman began teaching 8th Grade English at Red Lion Area Junior High in 2015. She is originally from northeastern Pennsylvania, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree at Wilkes University and taught English for the Upward Bound program until 2015. In May 2020, she earned her Master's of Education degree at Wilson College. Prior to teaching at Red Lion Area Junior High, Mrs. Wildman taught part-time as a substitute teacher for the Dallas School District in Dallas, PA, and at Wilkes University's Upward Bound program. 

 

In the 2016-2017 school year, she became the advisor of the Cat's Paw, which was a digital school publication where students submitted creative writing and art pieces for showcase on a student-created and student-managed website. Cat's Paw was last published at the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year. At the conclusion of the literary magazine's publication, Mrs. Wildman directed the Red Lion Area Junior High Musical program, premiering the school's first production, Disney's High School Musical Jr., on May 18th and May 19th in 2019. 

Additionally, Mrs. Wildman works as an Instructional Technology Facilitator at the Junior High, helping staff leverage technology to provide authentic, quality education for all students. She has attended several ed-tech conferences, including the Pennsylvania Educational Technology Expo & Conference (PETE&C) and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference. She has presented at PETE&C for three years and at ISTE for one year about several topics: blended learning techniques in secondary education, utilizing tech-based scavenger hunts for hands-on learning experiences, integrating video projects into teaching ELA curriculum, extending learning with the applications of technology, and leveraging technology for student feedback.

 

Mrs. Wildman's greatest passion is education, but she also has numerous extra-curricular interests. These interests include cooking, crafts, yoga, and gaming (both board games and video games). She also enjoys theatre, art, and history and tries to attend performances and visit museums as often as possible. Mrs. Wildman enjoys to travel and has most recently ventured to Annapolis and Washington D.C. Most of all, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends, family, husband, and cat.
