Homework Tips

Students should be encouraged to write assignments in a planner or calendar.  Students and parents may also check their teacher's websites for information regarding assignments.  If you do not have an Skyward login or password please contact the counseling office (717-244-1448, ext. 2031).
 
Please check to see if your student's teachers use web based tools such as Remind 101 to communicate about assignments and announcements.

Requests for Assignments

The school counseling office collects assignments for students who will be absent from school for three or more days.  Teachers must have one full school day in order to complete requests for homework.  All requests must be placed on the day prior to pick-up.

The assignment sheet, along with the completed work, must be submitted to the teacher the first day back to school unless otherwise stated by the teacher on the assignment sheet.  It is the student's responsibility to see the teacher upon returning to school since some classwork, quizzes, or tests may have been missed.  If the illness or other unusual circumstances prohibit completion of the assignments, students do have two days for each day of illness to complete the work.  However, it is in the student's best interest to have their assignments completed when they return to school.
